Next week in Ottawa two lectures of interest to members of The Arctic Circle will be presented.
On October 29, Dr Denis St-Onge (Geological Survey of Canada and University of Ottawa) will speak on "What do glaciers tell us when they growl?" at the Sigma Xi, Ottawa Chapter, meeting at 6:30 pm, National Research Council, 100 Sussex Drive, 3rd Floor Meeting Room (3001). Guests are welcome.
On October 30, Dr Robert McGhee (Canadian Museum of Civilization) will give a talk entitled "The Last Imaginary Place" at 7:30 pm, CMC Theatre, 100 Laurier Ave, Gatineau. This is the first of a series of lectures named in memory of Roy "Fritz" Koerner; further details may be found in the attachment to this message.
