Inuit among Canadians honoured with Jubilee Medals

Over thirty Inuit have been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, which recognizes significant contributions and achievements by Canadians. From across the vast area known as Inuit Nunangat--the Inuit areas of Labrador, Northern Quebec, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories -- these elders, youth leaders, educators, volunteers, and experts in many fields have earned much respect and gratitude by sharing their knowledge, helping and motivating others, and working tirelessly to strengthen their communities.
