Mystery disease afflicting polar bears, seals and walruses in the Arctic

A mystery disease that has been blamed for the deaths of many seals and has infected walruses has now appeared in polar bears as well.   According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), polar bears were found to have patchy hair loss and oozing sores. These symptoms are similar to what researchers have witnessed in seals since the summer of 2011.  Read more....
